Flying Boomkin

It was brought to my attention that the druid didn’t actually talk about her druid form.

Oops.

I seem to forget sometimes that when I stream, it doesn’t mean it gets updated here.  So many of the stories and updates I have happen there and I kind of forget to post about it later.

I’m a little absent minded.

So class mounts.

I’m in love with the Hunter one.  Flying wolves? Heck yeah!

And my husband’s charger he got for the Paladin quest line.

Druids?

Ugh.  I look like a flying Boomkin.

Majestic or Derpy AF?

I get why we got a new form, because Druids…we’re shapeshifters.

But as a mount collector?  I hate that we didn’t get a mount to add to our collection.

To to add insult to injury?  We can’t actually use our new form unless we’re in an area we can fly it.  Our form does not double as a ground mount like the rest of the class mounts.

And I think I look like a flying moonkin.  So I guess you could say over all, I’m not too pleased.

Bright side, at least I can carry around a buddy.  But I already do that with the Heart of the Nightwing mount.  So…mrr.

But it is nice to have Serbear carry me around.  He gets to carry the firepower around.  Sort of.

How about you?  What’s your favorite class mount so far?

Melting Druid

It’s no fun when you get home from work, have about 15 minutes to get a stream set up and ready for raid, then discover your AC isn’t actually working and it’s about 10 degrees hotter than what it should be in your house.

And for it to continue not working all during raid as you are making attempt after attempt on KJ.

That’s a dying druid. In more ways than one.

AC should be fixed sometime this summer when they finally get the heating and cooling company to come out and redo the duct work.  Some day.  No biggie. I know my friends across the pond are having a worse time of it than I.  Stay hydrated everyone.

As for TOS, make sure when you go in there, you check out the scenery.  Night one, we went 6/9 on normal.  We hit Maiden about 10-15 minutes before our stop time and our mechanics were a tad off.  Going back in last night to try to finish it up though, it too a few tries, but we got our movement down a bit better.

1: make sure your fel and light groups are standing on their respective tanks

2: rotate the infusion swaps the same way each time, as in move around the boss to your left, so you’re not crossing each other

3: When you have the bomb, jump in the hole at the halfway mark, not the 2 seconds left mark, to keep from killing yourself with fall damage.

4: Move as a group to the boss when she’s doing her shield so you can collect the bubbles together.  One person running ahead can screw the entire side out of a decent buff to their damage and healing.  Not cool.

Once you get that down a bit better, it’s not too shabby.  Granted, those might change in Heroic and Above, but for now, that worked much better once everyone was working together properly.

Fallen Avatar wasn’t too bad either.  Making sure the add is moved in a timely fashion to get to the where the next beam will be needs some work and better coordination.

But KJ.  Man, he’s a jerk.  He hits the tanks like a freight train.  Trying not to soak more than one Armageddon at a time so the debuff doesn’t kill you or piss your healers off gets dicey during the first intermission where it comes more frequently.

Getting through intermission 2 into phase 3 happened a few times, but not enough to be completely successful.  Oddly, it seems phase 3 was a heck of a lot easier than the first two though.

I suspect he’ll go down next week if we don’t go back in Monday and finish the job.

All in all, it’s a pretty neat raid so far.  Druid approved!

New Adventures

Who’s ready for Tomb of Sargeras?

Warcraftier will be making our first foray into the raid tonight.  We’ll be starting with Normal.  If we plow through it, we’ll jump to Heroic with what time we have left and focus on that the rest of the week.

Want to see how we do?  Be sure to join us tonight, 7pm CST.  I’ll be streaming from my Point of View over on my Twitch Channel.  Expect lots of screaming and Starfalls.  Or something.

Hope to see you there!

Weekend Recap

It was a bit of a whirlwind in the Scruffy Household.  I nodded off for a bit on Friday night and woke up to several messages wondering where I was for PVP.  It was a late night of PVP with the guildmates, then Timewalking on both the 110’s.  Mr. Scruffy had brought home some hard cider for me, so since there was drinking going on, there was indeed Drunk Scruffy Tanking.

Saturday I spent most of the morning/early afternoon working on the Chromie scenario.  So much time actually that my druid is now a Timelord and Homies with Chromie.  It’s a really fun scenario honestly, but I’ve already messed up her talents and set myself back a few days.  Depending on how kind the RNG is with the Sands of Time items drops, I can usually get 6 out of 8 scenes complete in there.  But it’s going to take a few more talents for me to successfully complete the whole thing.

We had another storm Saturday night.  High Winds.  Driving rain.  Even some hail.  Gotta love these summer storms.

Sunday was Father’s day.  We ended up taking my mom and dad out for pizza and beer, then spending the rest of the day playing guitar out at their house in the gazebo.  Really not a bad weekend.

Hope you had a fantastic weekend and a great start to the week!

Out of Gas

Not sure what I did to over extend myself, but man.  All weekend I was pretty convinced I could go to bed by 5 o’clock and sleep until the next day.

The reality was that if I did that, I’d be up by Midnight, so of course I couldn’t do that.

But it seems to be carrying over into the week.  Even yesterday, 4pm seemed like a good time for a snooze fest.

Who’s with me?
